Parent Volunteers – Get involved

Love getting involved in junior sport and have an interest in helping kids develop within the Little Athletics program?

There are a range of areas for parents to extend their involvement and understanding of the sport of athletics. Little Athletics is run through the dedication of so many parents who volunteer their time to help make the athletic experience for kids a great one.  You can:

●        Join the Ringwood Starter’s team

●        Be part of the Ringwood Little Athletics Centre (RLAC) committee

●        Become an Official and officiate at Regional and possibly even State events

●        Judge Race Walking

●        Become an Age Group Manager at Ringwood

●        Become a Coach

●        Specialise in Relays Team Management

●        Manage Track & Field teams

●        Become a Leader in the ‘On Track’ program for kids U6 to U8

Parent Participation and duties

RLAC requires about 70 volunteers each competition day to ensure all events are available to athletes and that each event is offered a number of times during the season.  Without the required number of officials, events may be cancelled or delayed, and athletes will miss out.

Parents are required to sign-up for a duty using the sign up genius link sent each week to assist with an age group to assist on setup, canteen, BBQ and Pack-Up, each week.  Being a volunteer parent is critical to the success of the centre.  Please remember to give volunteering a go and if you get stuck or are unsure, our committee will be happy to assist you.
