Welcome to Ringwood Little Athletics Centre (RLAC). At little athletics, our emphasis is on family, fun, and fitness. Children from ages of 5 years to 17 years, of any skill or fitness level are encouraged to join and Ringwood offer a large Multi-Class group for athletes with a Physical or Intellectual Impairment. Children are encouraged to achieve their Personal Best (PB) results and Ringwood facilitates improvement through weekly competition and training.
Membership information – what do I get?
Little Athletics is broken up into two seasons, the summer season (Track and Field), consisting of about 20 weeks of competition and the winter season (Cross Country) about 10
weeks of competition. At Ringwood both seasons are included in your season membership. We also include relays fees, clinics, training, track and equipment maintenance
and regular communication on our socials and website.
Planned start date – 2023\2024 season
Our first week of competition will be Saturday 9th September 8.30am. It will be a reduced program for the first week as we all ease back into competition mode and our volunteers (parents) sign up for roles and duties. Our second week will be Saturday 16th September, followed by a mini break until Saturday 7th October.
Ringwood runs two training sessions a week for athletes from U9 and up only, on Tuesdays 4:15-5:30pm and Sundays 9am-10am. Training covers all events and
athletes can choose which session to attend.
For the full season 2023-2024, there is an early bird fee of $200 per athlete if paid up by 17th September 2023. That changes to $220 per athlete, so get in early (no multi children discounts).

The Cross Country season runs over winter, from April – August and provides athletes with a great way of keeping fit over the colder winter months. Ringwood Little Athletics Club (RLAC) competes against athletes within the Eastern 7’s group that include: Box Hill, Camberwell/Malvern, Nunawading, Doncaster, Kew and Collingwood. Races are held on Sunday mornings, at various locations around the Eastern suburbs, from 9.30am and we’re usually finished around 11am.
In addition to Cross Country, you might like to consider participating in the Cross Country relay events and the region and state cross country events.
Knox Little Athletics club offers a cross country competition on Saturdays for athletes that cannot attend Sunday. We will keep you posted on Saturday cross country competition and you can find information on the Knox Little Athletics Centre website here.

Uniforms & Patch colllection
Athletes must compete in the Ringwood centre Uniform. Uniforms will be available prior to through our uniform shop or at race venues by arrangement with the cross country team manager. We will try to open the uniform shop at the pavilion on Monday 17th and Wed 19th April so you can collect your uniform and patch.
John Walker, our senior middle distance coach, has kindly offered to provide XC Training on Monday and Wednesdays from 5pm, starting Monday 17th April, for roughly 45mins, for U9 age groups and up only. You must remain at training and supervise your child(ren) at all times.
Winter Season Registration Information
New members of all ages and abilities are always welcome to participate.
Summer Registered Athletes
Cross-country registration is included as part of your Track & Field Registration.
For those athletes not registered for the Track & Field Season, you will be required complete a new member’s registration for the cross-country season or you can also trial 2 weeks of cross country. Click on the link http://www.lavic.com.au. Note there is a cost of $99 per athlete for the 2023 cross country season. Once complete, send an email to email@example.com so that we can activate your membership within the Ringwood Centre and print out your patch.
