Hi everyone, we made it through our last competition for 2023, the BOOST Ringwood Christmas Gift and it was sensational. Our Boy winner was Marshal Washington (U9B) and Girl winner Lani Smith (U9G), both exceptional winners in very close races. We also had a special visitor, Santa, who turned up and helped us celebrate Christmas with some freebies and we closed it out with our Christmas raffle. We also squeezed in a Centre Record, Lachlan Buyck (U17B) Javelin, throwing 20.77m.
As we break up now for 2023, I want to take this opportunity to say Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of the athletes and families at Ringwood Little Aths. I personally think its been a great season and there is lots more still to come in 2024. Next year will be full of key events including our own 4 pillars, the LAVic Combined events championship, Region Track and Field Championship, State Track and Field Championship and finally our BOOST Centre Games championship. It is going to be quite busy, but will be lots of fun for athletes and parents.
I want to thank the committee, all of our coaches, Age Group Managers, our many parents and volunteers for making this season a success. All of this cannot happen without all of you contributing in big or small ways. I hope you are all having fun and enjoy being a part of this community.
Thank you to LAVic’s sponsors Coles and Commbank and Ringwood’s Major sponsor BOOST Health Collective, Platinum sponsor Michael Sukkar and all our other sponsors Topcat Healthcare, Rainbow meats, Mazzetti plumbing, We Do Print, AKT Trophy Centre, H&S Motors, The Athletes Foot, DJDelectrics, our new R52 sponsors and community partners Bendigo Bank. Again without all of this support, we would not be able to invest in keeping our specialist equipment updated and our new Marquees.
