When you reflect on the first part of the summer season, Ringwood has achieved a lot. This would not be possible without the committee, Age Group Managers (AGMs) and the many volunteers who help each week to make competition and these special events possible. To all of you, thank you for your support in 2022 and your continued support into 2023. To all the parents and of course our superstar athletes, I have enjoyed watching you have fun and enjoying your time at little athletics. There are so many more events next year so please be involved and take advantage of these events. Most of all, have some fun with your athletics mates. Wishing you all a merry Christmas, happy holidays and a great new year.

First day back is 4 pillars Ringwood Jan 14th 2023 – First day back is 14th Jan 2023 and is the 4 pillars at Ringwood. 4 pillars is a set, combined event style competition and we invite 3 other centres to compete together; Box Hill, Nunawading and Doncaster; as numbers are usually low during the break. Note that Kew will also be included this year. More information will be available closer to the date.
Training – There is no normal training during the break. The first session will return on Tuesday Jan 17th. However, for U10’s and up middle-distance athletes; 400metres and up; our senior coach John Walker has offered training during this period on Wednesdays from 5pm. Feel free to contact him on 0401 168 073 if you are interested. Parental supervision during this session, as always, is mandatory.
Athlete Clinics – Ringwood are trialling 2 Hurdles clinics and 2 U6-U8 Special On Track clinics in the new year. These will be specialised sessions to enhance athlete skills. For the U6-U8 clinics, we will require attendance from the AGMs. Please look out for the dates and times in the new year.
EMR Track & Field event 2022/23 at Doncaster– By now you should have received an email from LAVic advising you that entries for the 2022-2023 EMR T&F event are open. Register now so you do not miss out. This season it is at Doncaster on their new track and facilities so it will be fantastic. Registration cut-off is Jan 29th 2023.
RLAC closed – The committee wishes all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy new year. We will all be on a break from 24th Dec until early January 2023. If you have any queries during this time, please send it to email@example.com, noting we will respond in early Jan 2023.
