Current coaching accreditations/level: Level 3 (Sprint, Hurdles, Relays, and Middle Distance).

Registered with Athletics Australia and Victorian Athletic League.
Coaching Discipline/Events: Sprints, Middle Distance and Hurdles.

Currently coaching 25 athletes ranging from 11 years of age through to 45 years of age. The majority of the athletes in the squad are 18 – 35 years of age.

Coaching Times:
5.45 pm – 7.45 pm for all squad members. (5.15 pm – 6.15 pm junior squad members).
Wed: 5.45 pm – 7.45 pm for all squad members. (5.15 pm – 6.15 pm junior squad members).
Sat: 10.30 am – 12.30 pm for all squad members.

Other days/times have correspondence sessions provided to those that can’t attend sessions or for non-coach contact days.

Nick has been coaching high-performance athletes for 30 years over a variety of events. He has also embraced less talented athletes into his strong team ethos. A successful coaching program has culminated in many successes. He has coached many athletes to winning medals at Senior National and State Championships, Junior National and State Championships, Little Athletics State Championships, and World Masters Championships. He has coached athletes to Senior and Junior International representation.

He has been awarded as the Sprints Coach of the Year by Athletics Victoria on numerous occasions. Many of the “Top 10 All-Time” performances in Ringwood’s rankings were coached by Nick. Nick has coached athletes from all clubs, but he is predominantly based through Ringwood. Nick has a strong history and success in coaching sprints (100, 200m, and 400m), middle distance (800m), and 400m Hurdles.
Nick was the speed and agility coach with the Melbourne Storm in the National Rugby League for 15 years from the beginning of their successful period through to their more recent success as well.

Nick has also been highly successful in coaching athletes in the “pro’s” in the Victorian Athletic League. He has coached over 300 sash winners and has coached winners in nearly every major pro race in Australia. He has coached two winners of the 120m Stawell Gift, along with numerous other finalists in the Gift, and one winner of the Women’s Stawell Gift with a further 25 winners at Stawell in other events. He has also coached 17 winners at the Bay Sheffield in South Australia.

Other Major races that he has coached winners in are the 120m Maryborough Gift, 120m Bendigo Gift, 120m Ballarat Gift, 120m Keilor Gift, 120m Wangaratta Gift, 70m Don Furness Classic, Bendigo 400m Black Opals 3 times, Bendigo 400m Women’s 3 times, 400m Devonport Women’s Gift, 120m Rye Women’s Gift 7 times, 100m Women’s Stonnington Gift, 120m Women’s Lithgow Gift, 120m Women’s Bay Sheffield Gift, 120m Women’s Burnie Gift, etc. He has been awarded as being the Victorian and Australian Coach of the Year numerous times.
