The Cross Country season runs over winter, from April 28 2019 the cost of running Cross Country is included in your summer fee, we do not require additional registering for Cross Country for this season.
Ringwood LAC competes against athletes within the Eastern 7 group, which includes Box Hill, Camberwell/Malvern, Nunawading, Doncaster, Kew and Collingwood. Races are held on Sunday mornings, at various locations around the Eastern suburbs, from 9.30am and we’re usually finished around 11am.
In addition to the regular Cross Country runs you might like to consider participating in one or more of the many Open Day’s offered by various Little Athletic Centres.
Competition
The age group categories are as follows:
- U6: 500m
- U7/U8: 1000m
- U9/U10: 1500m
- U11/U12: 2000M
- U13/U14/U15 OPEN: 3000m
Uniforms
In the Winter we put our Ringwood clubs rivalry aside and run under the Ringwood Centre banner.
Athletes must compete in the Ringwood Uniform. Uniforms will be available at the venues from 9am for the first few weeks of the cross-country season, after that by arrangement with the cross country coordinators.

New members of all ages and abilities will always be welcomed at the club.
Summer Registered Athletes
Cross-country registration is included as part of your Track & Field Registration.
New Registrations
For those athletes not registered for the 2020-2021 Track & Field Season, you will be required complete a New member’s registration for the cross-country season ($60).
- Head to the Little Athletics Victoria web site www.lavic.com.au
- Click on “Join Here/Register”
- Enter “Ringwood Little Athletics Club” as both the Centre and Club
- Send an email to belindajones79@gmail.com to activate your membership with Ringwood Centre and ensure you’re all set for the next event
